About Chris
Christopher Ward is a founding Member and Partner in AMW of Illinois, LLC d/b/a AMW Ventures, which holds a controlling interest in several entities involved in real estate development and management, towing services, senior living, and technology refinishing. AMW Ventures, with Chris as a Partner, has developed and manages over 320,000 square feet of commercial and senior living space. Chris currently serves as CEO of Nexus Towing (an AMW Ventures Company), the nation’s first multi-state towing services company with operations in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Colorado and Texas, and is responsible for its strategic growth. Prior to founding AMW Ventures, Chris served as President of CARECARE Collision Centers, a 16-location 200+ employee collision repair chain that performed approximately $40 Million in repairs annually. CARCARE was sold in 2015 to a private equity owned national consolidator. Chris graduated with a B.A. from St. John’s University and a J.D. from the John Marshall Law School. His prior board service includes serving as Board Treasurer for Lightways Hospice and as a Trustee for the University of St. Francis, Joliet Il. Chris and his wife Polly have four grown children and reside in McKinney, Tx.
Chris has dedicated much of his life to mental health advocacy after personally experiencing the challenges of dementia and alzheimer’s disease. As a community leader, Chris supports Racing for Mental Health initiatives because he believes no one should suffer in silence. He knows firsthand how powerful access to the right resources and support can be—and he’s committed to breaking the stigma, promoting open conversations, and ensuring mental health care is treated as essential, not optional.
